This so helpful. Thankyou Nicole. Mitigation strategies are key. Some green shoots are happening in Oz around 'design & delivery' of true regenerative villages. Supported by Circular Australia. Huge gratitude for all that you do in leading way forward. Please let's connect when you next come Down under. www.cevco.life
I would love that. I'm glad this was helpful, and I'm inspired by cevco in Australia having seen your website. Keep up the amazing work. Would love to hear more about conversations you've had around design and delivery.
Right! Scalability means the financial model works and provides value for everyone who participates. Affordability is such a contentious thing in the sustainable community space, because often to get a community started, you need large amounts of capital. What are your thoughts about how to achieve both?
You covered a lot there already Nicole so just keep reporting on the lessons learned. Its easy to get caught up in the warm and fuzzies but we don't know what we don't know....until its too late usually. So what you are sharing is powerful. Thank you.
Do you offer a course on this amazing detailed information you are putting together to help eco villages or intentional communities succeed at the highest level or at least not go bankrupt?
So much good sense, Nicole, and some of it endorsed through my own experience
Excellent to hear Simon! Curious if there's anything you would add?

Designing the financial model to ensure perpetual affordability and scalability is key for me. Otherwise it’s just another enclave.

Love this feedback. Incredibly valuable to understand the reality of building communities and to hear the lived experience. Keep this gold coming.
Tony, so glad you found this insightful. What other topics would you be keen to read about?

Spot on! Such a good article. Some of these things it seems are just mistakes some seem to have to make and I’m
not sure you really appreciate the wisdom until you come across the hurdle.
