Thanks Nico! And thank you for resharing, it means a lot. I'm actually going to do a post called "All my friends are village designers" and I wanted to include you in my group of fellow researcher friends. Any announcements or updates you want me to share when I promo Agartha and the database?

Thanks a lot Nicole!! Julia Úbeda brought us here and we're loving your content. We're soon starting a 2-4 year-long volunteer trip around ecovillages and projects, starting in Portugal and Europe but may end up in Costa Rica, who knows! We bookmarked many from your list. Cheers!

Hi Marta and Andreu! I love Julia, she is a dear friend. You're welcome to come visit me in Costa Rica, I am moving there this week. So curious to know how you are discovering and bookmarking other ecovillages. Thanks for being active here 💙🦋

Hi Nicole! For the moment we're just browsing on ecovillage websites like GEN and volunteer places like wwoof, so definitely the resources you're sharing are super valuable to people like us! We're also just asking people who've been around. One thing is to see something on the internet and another is to talk with people who've been there, so that's the most valuable resource. We'll go through your blog for more, there seems to be a lot to learn. As for the Costa Rica visit, thanks a lot, we'd love that! Our travel plans are keeping us in Europe for about a year, but after that we might travel even further and Costa Rica looks amazing. 🤗😍 M.

YEAH!!! 7, 5, 4, 1!!!

reclaiming & regenerating a golf ⛳ course is a very clever & fortunate move re: location & resources, rather than about the symbolism & culture (imo, although I get the reducing/pacifying cognitive dissonance activism psychology thing - it's ESPECIALLY strong w me lols where I live, how I was brought up, how different I am to my own family & their 'zombie coping mechanisms that have turned into rigid beliefs & awkward evangelical impositions' 🤪😴🗣️🗣️🗣️😱🤣🤣).

Selgars sounds & looks great, will be so cool when they make it fully self-sufficient & 'regen'.

Idk wtf 😒🤣🤣🤣 are all these things like 'La Tierra', 'Ka', 'Aurvana' even exist independently of this list!?!? They're too philosophical, I like the ones who just get it done, already. Geez. Even if it's developer-led, like the ones I visited in Indonesia. Like, sure have solarpunk or other quirky buildings & social assets within a residential project. But will y'all start w the theory of carpentry & conservation & regeneration first, and work with someone's who knows their NUMBERS, not some far-flung medieval worldviews from people that've been dead for 1000 years!?¡???? I would rather be building using principles of 'ergonomics' than 'ontology' - Imagination is fine but I don't want either zombies or wafty-foos in my collective or visitors 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷

Idk, I've come to realize that a lot of things that I work on myself to appease/quench my mental-body are really about psychological wounds & personal accessibility issues, it's really more important to start from calculating on a basis of survival needs, retirement, accessibility & personal growth in-between. 'Fun factors' are easy to either incorporate or outsource, if one only has the health, finances, time & bandwidth for it.

Incorporating & practicing arts is fine & maybe even essential but 'transformational festivals' or DJ events at coffee houses are mathematically 'excess', sorry 😐🤣🤣🤷

Selgars is amazing, I've been in person, but I couldn't include it because I know the intention is there but it hasn't shown a clear plan beyond growing the veggie garden and coliving with people. They will though, the owners are beautiful people.

Haha, I feel like you write stream of consciousness and some nuggets of gold come out and the rest confuses me.

Haaa hahahahahaha

😄😸

Yeah I am not holding back on my 'undiagnosed Aspie-ness' 🤣🤣😹😹🤷🤷 anymore, except in situations where it will cause massive disruption eg. Like, how I keep quiet at overstimulating (literal) family gatherings, or how I absolutely had to shake my legs at my sister's wedding to not go totally berserkers in an environment I didn't agree with...

It seems that unlike most 'aspies' (and even then, getting a label/diagnosis doesn't mean much as the medical establishment evolves their discoveries... I do wonder if it will help me irl to declare a formal diagnosis, or pigeonhole me more??!?? 🤔) I do seem to have developed really good ways of 'noticing social cues on a normal spectrum' - like, I could just tell from 'internet!????? aura' & that Oscar & Sonia were/are 98% likely dating way before he explicitly said 'my girlfriend' & even then, I would still question it unless they explicitly said it to me & even then I'd probably question it (🤣🤣🤣🤷😹😹😹).

I had to walk out of the family gatherings several times to take some air!!!

And it was a proper catholic church wedding!!! And I was in the front pew!!! ☠️ Hehehe omg 😳😳😳🥜🥜🥜

Ya that's why exploring 'alternative cultures' was a breath of fresh air for me but unless I do something concrete about my financial & lifestyle situation, errmmm ain't nobody's gonna rescue me nor hand me the circumstances that I need/want to thrive in, the prospect of being chucked in a nursing home and subsisting on 'defective handouts' is just lol a very bleak possibility that I accept unless I 'do my darndest' to change things now 😄
