Btw, how would you approach visiting communities in a work exchange program? Do you have any advice on how to travel to different communities as you've done for the past few years? Maybe this could be a good topic for a post at some point.
It was a shame I couldn't be there, but it meant I moved into this community sooner, which makes me happy. I'll definitely write a post about how to travel to communities. For work trade, there are some excellent sites to browse that I'll include. I recommend finding work trades that allow you to practice skills you want to develop. Lots of communities have great work trade programs, but try to talk to someone who has been there or read testimonials about it, because sometimes they are dysfunctional. So glad you had a good time at the gathering!
